Each artwork in this collection is crafted using my DeConstructed Photography technique, where digital experimentation meets meticulous handwork. Starting with a photographic image, I employ the latest digital technologies to displace and reconfigure visual content, intentionally disrupting the surface of the printed image. Through hand-cutting, layering, and folding, I push beyond traditional boundaries of color, form, and texture to restructure the surface and transform the photographic medium into a three-dimensional, abstract fantasy.
By deconstructing the often ordinary scenes captured through my lens, I liberate the image’s potential, allowing each photograph to transcend its original form. What was once a static viewfinder image becomes something “other,” reshaped through both digital manipulation and analogue craftsmanship into an illusory space that defies conventional photographic limitations.
The artworks presented here are one-of-a-kind, a testament to the time, quality, and care each requires. My larger 95 x 95 cm pieces, for example, take approximately 180 hours to complete, involving careful templating, hand cutting, and mounting. Created with archival materials and custom framing, each piece is exclusive and unrepeatable, embodying my commitment to producing works of exceptional complexity and craftsmanship.
